Cranial sacral therapy is a hands on method that uses a very light touch that can improve health and function. The course will introduce the terms and hands on palpation techniques along with the 10 step protocol needed to implement and practice this healing art. This course is only a beginning introduction to the art & science of understanding the complex anatomy & physiology of this therapy. The students will need much practice after and it’s recommended for a serious student to take the CST 1 course (4 days) at an Upledger Institute sponsored workshop to really master this therapy. This course provides a wonderful introduction and beginning techniques to get you practicing. The course syllabus includes introduction/right-left brain approach; light forces of touch, craniosacral system and its discovery; palpation-types & styles/listening stations; fascia & diaphragms (tissue release; therapeutic pulse); anatomical review of cranium and other areas of body involved; difference of working with newborns, infants, and children from adults; specific clinical cautions & applications; 10 step protocol; and step by step implementation of various treatment sessions with hands on practice. A certificate of completion is received which can be used toward PA or NJ massage license renewal.
