Shiatsu: Level III

(26 Hours)

Prerequisite: Shiatsu Level 2


Move deeper into the 5 elements relationships and how to treat specific dysfunction in the body’s energy system.  Refine your diagnostic skills through a case study of yourself, other classmates and examples of case studies.  Explore Macrobiotic Theory and diet, the 6 external pernicious influences, 7 emotions, eight indicators and healing sounds of Traditional Chinese Medicine.  A certificate of completion indicating 26 hours is received which can be used toward PA or NJ massage license renewal.

About the Instructor 

Lee Ann Fotta, RYT

Teaches Shiatsu: Level I, Level II & Level III. She completed her Shiatsu training at the International School of Shiatsu in Doylestown, Pa.  She has additional training with Ping Zhao of Authentic Eastern Health in Oriental Acupressure plus cranial sacral training with Upledger.  She is also a registered Ashtanga Yoga teacher. She currently teaches yoga at Twin Ponds, Lehigh County Senior Center, and Emmaus Yoga.  She began practicing shiatsu and yoga in 2000 and currently practices shiatsu in her own very successful private practice and with Lisa Baas, acupuncturist, who she assists at Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine in Emmaus.  Additionally she practices traditional Oriental acupressure at Authentic Eastern Health in Bethlehem Township. She is currently studying massage therapy at Health Options Institute to become a licensed massage therapist.
